Just 500m from Ella junction in close proximity to the railway station, the hotel offers a welcome change in service, comfort and serenity. Our restaurant, bar & lobby gives you a panoramic view over the gap which stretches over a distance of over 200km. An ideal setting, if you are an early riser, to sip a cup of freshly brewed “Ceylon Tea” and watch the sun rise over little “Adams Peak” or if you prefer to laze a bit longer in bed, you still have the same luxury from your room as all rooms offer you this wonderful vista. The a la’ carte has a very simple but tasteful selection of fresh vegetable & greens which also offers a great gourmet of meat & poultry.

If you are a wayfarer, leave it to us to organize excursions to places of interest such as Ravanalla falls, dunhinda falls, little Adams Peak, Dova temple, Bogoda wooden bridge, & Ravana caves, just to name a few. Bambaragama falls is a great attraction specially during the rainy season. A beautiful site from the restaurant and has a rugged trek path from the hotel.  If you a more adventurous, take a hike over the mountains with a guide and a picnic lunch and stretch out on the plains while you take in the fresh & sweet air.

Rawana Ella and Ravana Caves
A beautiful natural wonder associated with legend is the Rawana Ella (Ravana Falls) located near the village of Udunuwara on the Ella-Wellawaya Road. A cave ("cave of gold") hidden behind the falls is believed to be one of several places where Rawana hid his lovely Indian Princess Sita after abducting her.

Diyaluma Falls: Sri Lanka's second highest perennial waterfall at 560 ft. Situated near Koslanda, beside the main highway to Wellawaya.

Bogoda Bridge: The only roofed 16th century Kandyan bridge left in Sri Lanka. Constructed entirely of wood with massive tree trunks from buttresses. No nails have been used in the construction.

DunhindaFalls: One of the country’s most renowned waterfalls is Dunhinda, on the Mahiyanganaya Road, about 5 km from Badulla. Flowing from Badulu Oya, the 210 feet high Dunhinda, is surrounded by mountains and jungle. It is truly an enchanting sight from a distance

Demodara Bridge and the loop
This is known as the Bridge in the Sky.One end of this curved 9 arch bridge is a tunnel.

As the train passes the station the railway line loops upon itself, encircles an adjoining hill top and passes through a tunnel underneath the station which is around 75 – 100 feet below the station.
